A note on a particular pathological configuration of the transitional zone that can be translated as a ? transitionality of appearance ? in children subjected to an unsupportive environment, especially in the case of secondary sexual trauma coming to be linked with a problematic of primary narcissism. The author proposes his theory of this ? inaccessible playing ? and the therapeutic process that is able to call up defences against a catastrophic form of depression that implies identification with the depression of the object and the subject's own defences.
