The author reflects on certain obstacles to thought encountered while theorizing the path from medicine to psychosomatics via psychoanalysis. Two medical theories, intermediary between medicine and psychosomatics are studied: the theory of coronary spasm related to atheroma, and the phenomena of placebos/nocebo. Following this study, introduced by medical cases, the author indicates several reflections on medical thought so as to identify the underlying ideology.
