Antonia's second analysis took shape in several stages. This analysis, made difficult by the intensity of the traumas and destructiveness and the lack of feeling, also engaged her analyst's subjectivity. Against a background of changes in the setting with issues of repetition and separation, the analyst's work of figurability could develop and bring out the analysand's capacity for representation and reflection through writing and dreams, the communication of affects and bodily sensations. The construction of a shared psychic space with the analyst allowed the traumatic material to be elaborated through a new capacity for psychic representation. The author's exchange with a colleague (J.-C.?Rolland) demonstrates the effect of writing in this clinical case.
