The author describes how narcissistic faults, primary trauma, can free drive unbinding and lead to somatic disorganisations which put the equilibrium of the feminine into peril. This study is supported by the clinical case of a woman presenting serious somatic difficulties as well as by the concepts of Ferenczi.–Using the concept of “the therapist’s maternal function,” (Marty), the author shows that the mobilisation of affects in the therapeutic relationship enables the entirety of psychical functioning to be revived.
