In this article, the author explores the universe of classical ballet through the bias of fundamental motor and sensorimotor identification, in order to show that what is visible in the sensory drives can express a sublimated invisible wish. The fleeting essence of movement, its substance, allows choreography to give access to the way in which thought is interposed between the drive that has been called into play and its corresponding action in the dance.
