Assignation defines some predetermined intersubjective situations. Psychoanalytic work with children and adults contains, in the patient, a conscious element of the interpretation experience during the session. I draw attention to the fact that this experience of consciousness is unitary and therefore permanently transformative. No primary consciousness is brought to light without this undergoing, at the heart of the object relationship, the test of helplessness and a hatred of the primary object. This primary consciousness allows the development of the aptitude to construct a conscious scene. This aptitude leads to gratitude for a positive self-awareness and the higher form of awareness that we call the capacity to think.
