Truth, Lies and Psychosis. Termination Issues in the Psychoanalysis of Psychotic Patients
Type de matériel :
97
Lying and truth are intrinsic to the issues of all analytic work and raise the question of the objectives in treating psychotic patients. The problem of terminating these often lengthy treatments is discussed here using the example of a psychotic patient being treated in individual psychoanalytic psychodrama and of the function of denial and splitting of the ego in fundamental lying about his existence. Different parameters are mentioned as factors of change, in particular the reconciliation with the symbolising capacity.(Traduction de Sophie Leighton.)
