Concerning the Previous Patient: Conscious and Unconscious Imaginings
Type de matériel :
92
In the context of the shared dream that is constituted by the psychoanalytic session, the author considers, through several clinical vignettes, the influence that can be exercised by the previous patients – those who have the preceding sessions – on both the analysand and the analyst. With regard to the analysand, this reflection is considered in terms not only of his symptomatology but also his defence mechanisms, with the place and influence of the previous patient changing in the treatment over the course of time. In relation to the analyst, the quality of his presence is explored with regard to the sequence of clinical histories that respond to each other and are condensed and dislodged. The author then works on the concept of conscious and unconscious imagining, exploring the equivocations of the construction of the transference.
