The Return of the “Little Hanses”. Memories of Childhood Psychic Treatments
Type de matériel :
91
Drawing on the evolution of childhood treatments evoked in the analytic literature, the author offers some considerations around the return, twenty and thirty years later, of two children who were in treatment when they were about ten years old. He examines the meaning and the function of these childhood memories. The co-construction of memories in the service of a continuous sense of existence means that the negative transference must be recognised and worked on in childhood treatments or in their after-effects; otherwise a nostalgic compro-mise of expectation or of life-style is likely to set in.
