Psychic Traces, Encrypted Memories and Historic Catastrophies
Type de matériel :

The article examines the psychic traces of the historic catastrophies of the 20th cen-tury and their appearance in international psychoanalytic literature. According to some authors, the classic theory of trauma does not sufficiently account for the collapse of the psychic struc-ture in this catastrophy. A hypothesis of collective latency is tackled by linking it to the lacunas in the descriptions of survivors and how they have been transmitted. The writings of Isaac B. Singer, who recounts the pre-Holocaust period, could be used as a backdrop in the construc-tion of a family romance based on a incomplete genealogy.
