Body and infinity: Notes for a theory of genitality
Type de matériel :
76
The author offers a rereading of the concept of genitality and compares the unconscious with infinity as conceived by Levinas. Psychoanalysis thereby acquires an ethical dimension based on the reception of others. In the analytic process, meaning is constructed under the aegis of genitality, which is the only form of sexuality in which desire does not apprehend alterity. How is each patient to be welcomed each time? When he opens the door to the stranger, the ethical being assumes on a daily basis the disposition for trauma, fright and astonishment.
