The Image of the Candidates in the Electoral Decision
Type de matériel :

Image has considerable explanatory power over the voter’s intentions. This capacity should not be measured theoretically, but through the comparison of two fundamental facts: the position on the left-right spectrum and political proximity. The results demonstrate for the most part that, tested against these factors, the explanatory power of image has the same and sometimes even greater level of importance as these classic attributes. This superiority is partly due to the fact that everybody can express “feelings” toward a personality, while the position on a left-right dimension or partisan nearness are sometimes more difficult to achieve.
