Some notes on the “Advanced Seminar” of the Paris Institute of Psychoanalysis
Type de matériel :
35
The “Advanced Seminar” was initiated by Sacha Nacht, Director of the SPP Institute of Psychoanalysis, in 1954. Originally conceived as lectures associated with extensive clinical material, it reflected the concerns of the time, with the split involving Jacques Lacan and the need to consolidate theory, practice and “official” techniques. For decades, it has been the epicentre of questions and conflicts: Society versus Institute, incumbents versus members or students, Paris versus province…, which can still occur today.
