Drawing on the epistemological questions arising from two famous analytic cases, the Wolf Man and the case of Dick, the author sets out to deconstruct the Freudian concept of the primal scene in order to evaluate what the dual relationship can be reduced to in the emerging intersubjectivity. The atypical character of infantile neurosis led psychoanalysis to interest itself in the foundations of the primal scene. Klein evokes the early stages of the Œdipal conflict in connection with the concept of the combined parent-figure. The case of Dick leads us to reflect on the pertinence of the binary model of Kleinian positions and on the opportunity of introducing the notion of a primary autistic position of development in connection with the concept of the combined parent-figure. In short, the author paints a picture of the ontogenesis of the primal scene in conformity with the Bionian container/contained dialectic and questions its prenatal protorepresentations.
