Translating: clinical and theoretical issues in allochthonous clinical work

Par : Type de matériel : TexteTexteLangue : français Détails de publication : 2021. Ressources en ligne : Abrégé : Translating is not anodyne, especially where psychoanalysis is involved. It is also about putting words on what is devoid of any material dimension, while apprehending it through its effects: the unconscious, in order to make itself comprehensible for others. This being so, by introducing the anti-semantics of language, Lagache raises enigmas. Thus, by taking the linguistic example of the translation of Culture/Civilization and its Discontents, it is a matter of showing how, through his writing; Freud deploys in the very title itself an entire psychoanalytic program. Likewise, with Laplanche, we will examine the untranslated elements and mytho-symbolism with reference to ethics. Then we will show through clinical examples of allochthonous subjects the links between demand and treatment when translation becomes complex because it is exposed to the risk of the erotic dimension of the confusion of tongues. The body then becomes the representative of the drive when the subject is unable, or only poorly, to speak another language than his first language.
