Regression to dependence on the object in the transference to the point of primary identification as a fact of experience concerns non-neurotic cases presenting fundamental dissociations. “Living an experience together” (Winnicott, 1945) is posited as a new paradigm of psychoanalysis after Freud. Phases of regression to the individual/environment unit permitting the initial deficiency to be unfrozen alternate with phases of transference in the area of play of the analyzable transference neurosis.
