Roger Perron transmitted a great deal to the southern shore of the Mediterranean, essentially in two areas: the development of psychoanalysis and applied research. From 1987 onwards, over a period forty years, including a decade described as black, Roger Perron went to Algeria countless times. He supported, accompanied, discussed and trained many clinicians in the fields of psychology, psychoanalytic psychotherapy and psychoanalysis. He succeeded in bringing together a large number of psychoanalysts who were members of the SPP to run supervision seminars and participate in numerous conferences. He was also at the origin of the birth of the Laboratory of Psychoanalytical Anthropology and Psychopathology at the University of Algiers. In Tunisia, Perron’s contribution was that of an expert researcher in methodology. It was thanks to his supervision work, which lasted about ten years, that the Differential Intellectual Efficiency Scales (DIES), the first intelligence test adapted to Tunisian children aged between 3 and 11, were adapted and calibrated.
