The French school system was confronted to an important reform within the framework of the new School refunding Law, in July, 2013. The aim of this law is to bring elements of answer to improve its performances. Indeed, in spite of large human resources and important fundings, France has a very unequal school system. The children coming from modest background have significantly lower results than the ones coming from a wealthier background. Far from being reduced, this gap grows bigger. A large number of research showed that when parents, and more generally the life environment of the child, are involved in schooling, as well as the cooperation between family and school, the school results are improving. The coeducation seems to be the most relevant method to change this situation. The aim of the present article is not to make a detailed analysis. Through the main focuses of this law, we will study, which perspectives can be used when we face educational challenges of the French society. More precisely, we will try to identify the settings that can (or could, after modifications) promote the links between families, school, community and as a matter of fact, build the foundations for a real coeducation.
