NGO Communications: Are Governments to Be Concerned? Governments frequently complain that their international and diplomatic agenda is partially determined by non-governmental organizations’ (NGO) priorities and the media pressure that usually goes along with it. However, is there a general NGO agenda towards governments? Or even a media-related NGO pressure? On the other hand, NGO communication campaigns, initially intended for fund raising, tend more and more to control journalists and the information they convey. Could it be said then that NGOs have established a favorable media framework related to their priorities?
