The globalization impacts all food products in the 21st century. This article describes the globalization and the geopolitics of the wine-producing. The objective is to understand that the wine industry constitutes an important indicator of the dynamics of the globalization, the logics of territory and the commercial balance of power. Through a historical perspective, the author shows that the evolutions of the production and the marketing of the wine follow the big world geoeconomy trends. He identifies the current orientations of wine activities and analyzes the current situation of the production, the consumption and the export worldwide. The shift of power from the West to Asia (in particular to China), the overall increase of the sustainable development factor and the financialization of markets are so many factors that the author applies to his analysis of the wine-producing world.
