Becoming the Duke of Lower Lotharingia at the end of the reign of Henry IV
Type de matériel :

The Duke of Lower Lotharingia or Lothier, Godfrey of Bouillon died in the Holy Land in 1100. He was replaced at the end of the following year by Count Henry of Limburg, although he had just been severely punished for having rebelled against imperial authority! This bizarre political episode certainly merits a detailed analysis with a view to finding an explanation that should provide some, if not new, then at least less well-trodden insights into the policies of the most celebrated of the Germanic kings of the Salic Dynasty.
