The investigation of executive function is a core component of the neuropsychological assessment of individuals with focal or neurodegenerative brain damage. Therefore, the development of fast, standardized tools that can be integrated into neuropsychological assessment remains a priority. In this study, we present the standardization and normative data of a new test: the Alphaflex. This test has numerous advantages: its assessment does not last more than five minutes; the instructions are easy to understand; its correction is fast; it does not require any particular equipment; and it does not involve visual and motor skills; it can be administered to a broader population of patients since it only requires knowing the alphabet. Complementary to existing tests, this tool quickly assesses mental flexibility abilities. In this study, we present normative data for this test in a French-speaking sample of 271 non-institutionalized individuals aged 50 and over. Norms consider age and educational level and are expressed in percentiles.
