Rehabilitation of executive function disorders in neurodegenerative diseases

Executive function disorders are nowadays recognized as an early sign of the group of neuropsychological deficits that come with neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer's disease. These disorders are known to significantly impair the carrying out of patients’ daily activities. In this review, we report knowledge acquired in the field of executive impairments and rehabilitation of executive functions in dementia. We will focus on the most recent work, examining the rehabilitation of daily activities using different relearning methods in patients with Alzheimer's disease or mixed dementia.
