This paper shows how understanding transference as a psychical process reveals that it is the founding process of the social bond. It overlaps various theories in order to show that transference work is an initial process, a process articulating language, and a process intimately connected with negativity. In conclusion and based on the example of habits, it shows how the rest of these initial transferences are at the heart of daily living from both the subjective and collective points of view.
