The Visibility of the Unconscious

This paper attempts to formulate and give life to, through clinical experience (individual and groups), an essential metaphor: the visibility of the Unconscious. To get in touch with the individual or group Unconscious becomes a sort of “revelation” that is upsetting and rewarding. Psychoanalytical interpretation as a system of exchange can become a revealing instrument. To see what is repressed or denied in the Unconscious projected into what is real transforms the reality of transference into a revealing and extraordinary field. In my eyes, to psychoanalyze is mainly to confront an unexpected “reality.” Thus, the conception of the world becomes richer, yet, at the same time, vitally upsetting.
