The desire for control is at the heart of the dynamics of power and of transmission in institutions. This paper examines the issue of “power,” its function within the psyche of any subject, and its group and institutional resonances (its function as Oedipal meta-organizer). Then, it investigates the institutional movements related to genealogical transfers, to the current reorganizations in the fields of medical care and social work, and to predation and the fatal violence occurring therein.
