Bodily Experience as Source of Counter-Transference in Individual Psychoanalytic Psychodrama with Adolescents
Type de matériel :
34
Within the context of individual psychoanalytic psychodrama, our aim is to see how the body issues of adolescents with serious narcissistic injuries impact a group of caretakers, thus requiring acknowledgement and transformation. The presence of what we call archaic body elements at the heart of the caretakers’ countertransference can then become the focus of both individual and group working out. This leads not only to helpful representations at the same level, but also to modifications in the co-therapists’ bodily involvement with the patient. The paradigmatic figures that constitute anorexia and psychosis will serve to illustrate these ideas.
