The Incredible (and sad) History of PARI. Current Reflections on Institutional Perversion and Violence
Type de matériel :
34
This article discusses the very great violence that can be generated in an area of public hospital healthcare when the administrative field steps outside its field of competence. The compulsory closure, in 2013, of the PARI Centre (Psychotherapies, Intersectorial Applications and Research, a psychoanalytic unit catering for prosecuted sexual assault offenders) serves as a clinical situation for highlighting an unconscious alliance of rare destructivity. Based on the work of René Kaës and Jean-Pierre Pinel on destructive unconscious alliances, the analysis of this situation reveals a particularly destructive unconscious alliance in institutional spaces : the perverse psychopathic unconscious alliance. The article presents all the requisite conditions leading to this type of alliance where deadly unbinding triggers its deleterious violence and, in the present case, has destroyed twenty years of research and know-how in providing psychoanalytic treatment for the authors of sexual assault.
