An original multi-group setting in France. Articulation between a large group for sharing experiences and small therapeutic groups. Therapeutic and training function.

Par : Contributeur(s) : Type de matériel : TexteTexteLangue : français Détails de publication : 2019. Sujet(s) : Ressources en ligne : Abrégé : An original multi-group setting invites bipolar patients and their close relations to participate in different sub-groups. A large group, a sort of hub-platform brings together patients, parents and all their close relations. Two small therapeutic groups facilitate exchanges between bipolar patients, on the one hand, and the parents of bipolar patients on the other. The group leadership is inspired by work with “large groups” (Foulkes, Bion, Jones) and “treatment groups” of Pichon-Rivière. The combination of a large group and a parent group permits multi-family therapy. The contributions of the different groups are evaluated with a qualitative methodology (thematic analysis). The articulation between these groups of psychodynamic orientation builds a multi-group and multi-focal setting. It is an innovation that can be reproduced in the evolving landscape of psycho-social therapies for bipolar people and their entourage.
