The authors of this article look at some of the group issues involved in training in group and institutional analysis. They begin by explaining the logic behind the training set-up of the Transition Association, which is based on a tripod of personal experience, supervision and theory. They then examine the analysis of certain forms of transference (understood in the broad sense) and resonance in training set-ups, as well as the implications of institutional backgrounds concerning issues of inheritance and their function as meta-frameworks. Finally, by engaging in collaborative writing, the authors highlight the importance of collective action in the contemporary world.
