Today’s consumers are faced with an overwhelming abundance of choice, which is why they are less likely to be loyal to products or services that fail to meet their expectations. Their needs are increasingly multifaceted, and we propose the concept of a “meta-need” to describe them. By revisiting the matrix developed by M.A. Max-Neef, the article aims to analyze the components of “meta-need” and how to identify them. Our goal is to offer entrepreneurs avenues to help them create products and services that best satisfy their customers’ needs.
