How should we deal with the relation between liturgy and anthropology fifty years after Sacrosanctum Concilium and how should we conceive of the “plural” logic of the sacrament in order for Christians to recognize themselves in it as sons of God and brothers of Christ? This paper proposes to go through the major developments of the liturgical movement and the liturgical theology, by showing how a paradigm shift has taken place, opening up the perspective of a “more ample and integral” theology capable of accounting for Christian ritual experience.
