Defeat Death through technological means: this is the perspective that unites the diverse aspirations of the transhumanist movement, the cutting edge of contemporary techno-science. How could a religious belief have transformed itself into a scientific programme? In order to reply to this question, the article will explore the relation between Apocalyptic and Wisdom, and more broadly, between mythopoetic and rational language by examining Paul and the Wisdom of Solomon.
