Ecstatic Commitment in Feuillets d’Hypnos

Through the analysis of Feuillets d’Hypnos, written during the second World war, I intend to tackle the issue of ecstatic commitment. Ecstasy is confronted with the issue of action, of history as the space of the unnamable, of the confrontation of the enemy. Our reading leads us to question the eventual link between the pure Nazi negative and ecstatic anabasis. The question is approached through the concept of anxiety. Ultimately, the analysis leads us to the coexistence of contraries within the poem, the poetic speech act and the fragment.
