The aim of this paper is to understand, with the concept aesthetic of optimum distance, the ludic forms of social life that G. Simmel develops in his sociology. The importance of this concept consists in a double exclusion of excessive approximation of the self vis-à-vis the object and the others and of its distance too objective. Only by creating an optimum distance allows a ludic dimension of social life.
