Social Innovation in Support for Elderly People in Wallonia: An Analysis of Resource Hybridization

This article focuses on the dynamics of social innovation in community support and suitable housing for elderly people in Wallonia. Its central hypothesis concerns hybridization, as both a driving force for the development of these initiatives, and an obstacle to them. The argument underlines the importance of resource hybridization at the point at which social innovation emerges. It also focuses on its limitations when it comes to disseminating the innovation if no public policy acknowledges its difference.
