Drawing on approximately thirty interviews conducted with workers in a major CAC 40 company, this article aims to reflect on the forms of professional socialization that come about as a result of a major internal sporting event. It considers the following questions: does taking part in one of the annual Raid adventure races, organized by their employer, reinforce employees' appropriation of the company's values? Do these employees see the company and its hierarchy differently as a result? Does the specific socialization they experience during the sporting events lead the participants to modify their working relationships? Can sport be considered a tool for internal cohesion?
