Methodological tricks and elements of analysis of some conflicts at work

Conflicts at work are seldom understood for themselves by sociologists. However, they are more and more frequently the occasion for solicitations for the practicing sociologist and primarily concern managers. However, the function of local supervisor is often the blind spot of work organizations : taken for granted or left to the so-called qualities of those who embody it, it is in fact a privileged “place” for the manifestation of dysfunctions and organizational contradictions. Based on three interventions carried out in companies, this article proposes both a methodology and diagnostic elements to apprehend these conflict situations other than on an individual and psychological level.
