Pioneers in the sociology of enterprise have largely invisted in the field of adult education to experiment with new learning devices and equip the “actors of change” in organizations. Training in and through the sociology of enterprise has proven to be a process of transformation of practitioners who come to draw insights, methods and tools to address the evolutions of their organization. The development of capacities to act and of reflexivity are the most significant traces. This article traces the long history of a training cycle founded by Renaud Sainsaulieu, and analyzes the driving forces of the trans-formation, backed by an innovative teaching device out of the ordinary, underlining the intervening dimension of this sociological current.
