Craftsmen and networks: the connected still man

This article presents the main conclusions of a research project which intends to characterize nowadays craftsmanship, craftsmen and to understand their permanence and development. This piece of research falls within an historical perspective and update the research conducted in this domain in the 70s and 80s. Additionally, this article is at the interplay of the new economic sociology and the literature on social networks. The aim is to characterize the singular coordination patterns of craft firms with those derived from the sociology of firms.
