Institutional Psychotherapy: The Interactive Multifunctional Paradigm

The article tries to define what could best characterize institutional therapy beyond psychoanalysis, systemic analysis, or behavioral therapy. Starting from a description of the functioning of an institution, it proposes “multifunctional interactivity” as being this paradigm. The second part of the text tries to define as closely as possible some key notions such as directing, authority, and decision in institutional functioning.
