During the last few years, the understanding and treatment of depressive disorders has been considerably refined. Combined care integrating pharmacology and psychotherapy has emerged as a necessity. A certain number of studies have been able to demonstrate that systemic therapy is an important component of the therapeutic arsenal when the depressive disorder is accompanied by relational problems of couple. This type of approach also seems appropriate for the management of relational stress factors in the prevention of depressive relapses.
