For the last few years, the crisis of authority and its necessary restoration has flooded the media. The family is considered responsible for its abandonment, and also the place where this restoration must occur. This article approaches the consequences of the introduction of these family topics into the family system and the pressure to make them the objective of the family therapy. The result is however hardly conclusive. There is an increase of relational impasses in the families and with its social environments; there is also an element of irrational stigmatization of the families in trouble. The parent-children relationships are based on intergenerational solidarity. They are never irrevocably structured by authoritarian relations. Those are the product of a social demand outside the family dynamic. In conclusion, this article questions the possibility in the present context of a non-authoritarian therapeutic practice facilitating auto-organization and the emancipatory autonomy.
