The complexity is such that, at any new session, the clinicians will have to adapt their way of working and their representations to the singularity of the individuals involved, whether children or adults. Through a clinical description, the article develops two concepts, namely the partnership envelope and the structural systemic approach. These two aspects define, in a certain way, the container and the content in the process of working with abusive families.
