“Free Press,” “underground,” “counter-cultural,” “revolutionary,” “activist,” “leftist,” “alternative.”.. Many words exist to designate a set of journals and newspapers that appeared in France (and in the western world) in the wake of May 68. The author supports that, despite the so-called “failure” of this new press, some of its characteristics have spread into other newspapers and media and into the whole society.
