In 2005, when urban unrest was at its height, a team of community workers in the Parisian suburb of Bois L’Abbé tried to offer meaning and perspective, giving young people the opportunity to write about the rising tensions they were experiencing. An informal group emerged, forming a network with the help of a writer and creating a kind of detective story, The Mystery Man of b. l. b. In this text, these young people tell us that they exist, that they are living people, and that they belong to the world. Writing here is similar to fireflies, which we all need to be able to see in the middle of the darkness to calm our fears.
