Accessibility has become an imperative, a moral prescription, which permeates public policies concerned with the involvement of all people in economic and social development. It transforms the interpretation of social problems by moving away from an essentialist conception of social difficulties in favor of an ecological approach that focuses on obstacles to social participation. Accessibility is a new way of solidarizing social relationships and forging new forms of normativity.
