L’Anthropocène impose de reconsidérer la constitution des paysages à l’aune de la Grande Accélération. Et de se demander si les espaces de la vitesse et des flux, de la biodiversité dégradée et des « services rendus » par les écosystèmes, bref, ces territoires happés par la mise en production du monde peuvent encore faire paysage, au sens d’un dévoilement des forces à l’œuvre, et accueillir ainsi des biorégions porteuses d’un design paysager et social. Dans un tel contexte de fragmentation du monde et des consciences, comment imaginer un horizon de réparation ? Comment tramer des continuités existentielles, temporelles et spatiales en regard des déchirures actuelles ? À quelle échelle agir pour retrouver une capacité d’action face au sentiment d’être écrasé par un ordre social devenu machine ? Le productivisme se lit d’abord dans les espaces, et la clé pour en résorber les excès se joue à partir d’un rétablissement de la mesure. À travers les biorégions, il s’agit de réincarner les limites écologiques dans les territoires.

The Anthropocene makes it necessary to reconsider the constitution of landscapes in the light of the Great Acceleration. And to wonder if the spaces of speed and flows, of degraded biodiversity and “ecosystems services,” in short, if these territories caught up in productivism can still form a landscape, in the sense of a revealing of the forces at work, and thus welcome bioregions with a landscape and social design. In such a context of fragmentation of the world and of consciences, how can we imagine a horizon of reparation? How to weave existential, temporal and spatial continuities with regard to current tears? On what scale to act in order to regain the ability to act in the face of the feeling of being crushed by a social order that has become a machine? Productivism can first be read in the spaces, and the key to reabsorbing its excesses is played out from a re-establishment of measure. Through the bioregions, it is a question of reincarnating the ecological limits in the territories.
