Le lien soignant relève d’un travail de Sisyphe. Il suppose la construction d’appartenances groupales et institutionnelles, et simultanément la mise en place de différences structurantes ; l’assurance pour chacun de se savoir participer d’une histoire commune, et celle d’être reconnu dans une place singulière. C’est la qualité d’une telle construction collective qui conditionne la capacité soignante et autorise une plus grande tolérance à la déliaison, aux morcellements, et aux angoisses, inhérents aux rencontres cliniques.

Establishing and maintaining a caregiving bond is a Sisyphean task. It presupposes the construction of group and institutional allegiances, and at the same time the establishment of structuring differences; the assurance for each person of knowing that they are part of a common history, and of being recognized in a singular place. It is the quality of such a collective construction that conditions the caregiving capacity and authorizes greater tolerance of the unbinding, fragmentation, and anxieties inherent in clinical encounters.
