RésuméLes évolutions du couple et de la famille interpellent le sociologue comme le clinicien. Les recherches sur la parentalité partent habituellement du parent, référant leurs analyses au père ou à la mère, alors qu’aujourd’hui ces fonctions sont plus floues et souvent déployées sur plusieurs adultes de référence. L’auteur propose une organisation des fonctions parentales en partant des besoins des enfants, et distingue fonction phorique, d’identité, d’altérité et libidinale, indispensables au développement psychoaffectif de l’enfant et de l’adolescent. Ce modèle est utile en clinique comme en situation d’évaluation, et une application aux dysparentalités est esquissée.

Evolutions of the couple and family challenge the sociologist like the clinician. Research concerning parenting usually starts with the parents by showing them throught analysis that today their role as parents doesn’t only concern themselves anymore but that very often other adult advise plays a part. The author proposes to organise the parental functions starting from the needs of the child and make a clear distinction between the phoric function and identity, being différent and indispensible libidinal functions for the psychoactive development of the child and the adolescent. This model comes in handy in the clinic like in evaluatory situations, and an application for dysparenting that is hinted at.
